I've had an ultralight Schnozzel pumpbag for years. It worked fairly well when new, but despite being stored in a cool dry place, the interior surface got sticky, making it more tedious to use. If you have a small lung capacity like I do, you would appreciate this mini pump. Filling 2 Exped Synmats gives me a temporary lightheadedness. This would make life easier.
Bonus - you won't be introducing microbes (from your breath) which may result in mold or bacterial growth inside your pads.

I decided to go with my first non-self inflating mattress and did not want to blow it up by mouth, so I checked out the options and found this cool little device. It actually does inflate my Exped quickly and takes up very little room. I have not gotten it to work with a Therm-a-rest yet, but it might work if I widen the inside hole some.

The website said it works with other brand air pads and has adapters. It doesn't come with adapters and it can ONLY be used on exPED pads. Don't waste your money.

I got this because my lungs were tired of inflating my neoair thermarest...that coupled with the fact that with the thin matieral of the neoair xlite, you can see all the little water droplets that form from your humid breaths...gross! This can become an issue in freezing environments and can deteriorate the material if not managed. Mold does not belong in my expensive thermare... Read more
The Mini-Pump is compatible with all of the UL model mats. It will also work on any Exped mats that have "Basic" in the name. The UL and Basic models mats all have a smaller flat inflation valve, so they connect directly to the Mini-Pump.
