Learn to Kayak Because Zombies Can’t Swim is a t-shirt design that I’ve been working on inspired by the Paddling Instructor website. David got a picture of a sweet billboard about boating with the same premise and came up with the idea “Zombies can’t swim – Buy a Kayak.” I liked the idea, but changed it to “Learn to Kayak Because Zombies Can’t Swim.” I found an artist to draw up a zombie vs. kayaker scene. I found a printer in Grand Marais, MN to make the tshirts.

T-shirt Pre-order

Now I’m offering up a pre-order for the t-shirts. They run $16.99. This print run will come on black with white ink. The zombie scene will be on the t-shirt’s back and a logo for my kayak guiding company will be on the front left. Shipping is via the U.S. Postal Service Priority Mall and will cost $6 to U.S. addresses. If you live outside the U.S. contact me for the shipping price before you order.

The pre-order runs from today to June 17, 2012. After the pre-order is over, I’m not sure if I’ll offer this again. I’ll turn in everyone’s order on June 18th to the printer, and they should be printed and shipped by mid-July. I’m doing all the shipping myself.

Here’s the final drawing and design for the shirt’s back. Note: it’s cleaner looking in real life, there are jpeg compression artifacts in this websized version.

Here’s the logo on the front, but it will be all one color.
