Wild Rye Sale for Valentine’s Day

With Valentine’s Day coming up, I’m scrambling a bit to find a gift for my wife. I guess it just slipped my mind a bit. If you’re in a similar boat, I have a suggestion. While I don’t usually write these types of guides, I cover so few women-specific items on this blog that I thought it might be nice to highlight something.

Last year, Wild Rye sent over a couple of pieces of clothing for my wife to try out. You can read the Wild Rye review. She also got a Danner 3/4 Zip Fleece Jacket and has been wearing it all last fall and through the winter. With the recent warm spell in Minnesota, she’s been wearing it as her only jacket. Typically, my wife likes her jackets to be a little bit longer, but this jacket is so warm that it has become her go-to this winter as a midlayer. It and everything else on Wild Rye’s website is 25% off today, the 13th.

Let me know if this type of post in interesting to you. I’m torn about doing these gift guides. In the past, I used to do a December gift guide, but gave it up. I also have been considering doing a 2025 gear of the year, which I know may be of interest to some of you. I have a lot of new gear in the lineup for 2026, and some of it I tested extensively in 2025. I just haven’t written about it, yet.
